Life is such that all of us come into the world with individual challenges which I think are meant to make us stronger and wiser. But these challenges are not always easy to work through nor are their lessons easy to learn. I get inspired when I see those people who are able to work through the challenges which might seem insurmountable at first. I am inspired by the many unknown people who make a huge difference in poor communities all over the world. They do not do it for any reward but they have a passion that is driven by their understanding of their place in society. Some of them are popular, some are not. The late Princess Diana was such a good person. She was committed to helping people. I am extremely passionate about Indigenous issues, and all facets of Indigenous struggles. I have worked in Treaty Land Entitlement and Specific Lands claims, which allowed me to gain invaluable knowledge of the legal systems for First Nation land claims in Canada. However, this was not the beginning of my introduction to Indigenous politics. I grew up in a home that was surrounded and occupied with people heavily involved in Indigenous politics.
